Sangeetha is an Indian actress and singer who is also known as Rasika.
Sangeetha was born in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India. Her parents are Arvind and Bhanumathy and both her father and grandfather K. R. Balan are film producers. She is a trained Bharatnatyam dancer.
On the 1st of February 2009, she married playback singer Krish at Thiruvannamalai.
Sangeetha started her film career with some low budget Telugu movies opposite to comedian Ali and Ravi Teja in Khadgam in Telugu. She then appeared in Pithamagan, which is a National Award winningmovie and also in Uyir where she played a possessive woman who wants her brother in law. In Abbas Burmawalla film Evano Oruvan she was seen opposite Madhavan. Her performance in Kaalai is also noteworthy though she had a small role. Dhanam was her last movie before her marriage.
She has judged many TV shows like Vijay TV's hit show Jodi No.1 till season three and was a guest judge for the finals of Vasantham Central's Indian dance competition Dhool which took place in Singapore(2008)
Though she has worked predominantly in the South Indian film industry, her first film was the British comedy, Stiff Upper Lips (1998). She played an Indian girl in the movie, and had a really small role.
Aithe (2003) marked her entry into Tollywood. It was a low budget film, but did exceedingly well.
Her other Telugu films include Athanokkade (2005), Gowtham SSC (2005), Paurnami (2006), Black and White (2008), Victory (2008) and Hare Ram (2008).
She has worked in 2 Kannada movies: Rishi (2005) and Snehana Preethina (2007).
Sindhu was seen in Tamil films like Sullan (2004), Manmadhan (2004), Maja (2005), Pasupathi (2007) and Pandhayam (2008).
